Ballet Shoes
Ballet shoes are the basic dance shoe. They can be worn for a variety of dance styles, but are mainly worn for ballet. Ballet shoes come in a variety of colours and styles. The most common colours are pink, black and white. Different styles include leather, canvas and satin. These styles are also available in full sole or split sole.
Typically, beginners would wear full sole leather ballet shoes. Full sole shoes require the foot to work harder, thus strengthening the foot.
Split Sole shoes then offer more flexibility for displaying technique.
Other names for ballet shoes include; ballet pumps and ballet slippers.
